#NoPlaceLeftMartinsburg

NLGM was founded on a core belief that we are called to make disciple-makers HERE, there, AND everywhere. We were not content to just focus on the nations that haven’t heard but also on those around us that are far from God. Throughout each week we have teams of people prayer-walking our city and engaging people with the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ. We are not doing large outreach events or inviting people to come to us, but rather GOING to find people who need to hear the hope and freedom that is found in following Jesus. We are working to see no place left in Martinsburg without a personal connection to the gospel.

There is a great need for the gospel to be advanced to the ends of the earth and we are actively working to equip, encourage, and empower more workers to be sent. We are praying that more workers would be sent to the nations tomorrow as the fruit of our work in the streets of Martinsburg today.

If you’d like to join us in engaging those far from God in Martinsburg and Berkeley County, follow our social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) and we will post the times that our teams are in the streets each week.

Bolivia
2019 marks the 15th year our Executive Director has been working in Bolivia. It also is proving to be the year where NLGM is seeing encouraging expansion throughout Bolivia, as we now have work taking place in five departments of the country!

How we thank the Lord for fellow servants, gifted trainers and movement leaders like Osvi and Ale, out of La Paz, Bolivia, who are being used by God in multiple regions of Bolivia. Just over the past few months, they have trained trainers in healthy multiplication in five different zones on the western side of the country. Similarly, we are honored to work beside a great man of vision, Pastor Dario, out of Santa Cruz, Bolivia, who literally has the vision to plant multiplying churches throughout all of his country and beyond. And then there are special couples like Roger and Ximena, Renee and Fabi, who do so much in preparing the logistics for some of our short-term teams that work on the eastern side of the nation. Our partnership with Bolivians like these is resulting in healthy disciples making healthy churches across Bolivia.

As we prepare to send another team out this month to work outside of Santa Cruz (June 20-28), please pray for team leaders, Rick and Jeanne Ware, and the five other trainers of trainers from the U.S. who will be assisting faithful followers of Christ in the expansion of His Kingdom. We anticipate a fourth-generation church to be birthed that week by those they will be working beside in the harvest fields.

Also pray for a second team heading to a new area for NLGM, Tarija, Bolivia, August 29-September 6. Ryan McFarland and Gary Willett will lead this team of eight to work with a Pastor of a new church plant there. If things go as we are praying for, this new work will provide opportunities for multiplication not only in the southern part of Bolivia, but also for future work in Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay.

Cape Verde
Amazing things are happening on the islands of Cape Verde! We are humbled and honored to get to be a part of this as we continue to labor beside some amazing followers of Christ there. The Level 1 Training that Rick and Gary led at a House Church last March is advancing the Kingdom on the small island called Sal, and plans are underway to return for Level 2 Trainings soon. We also have been invited back to assist and train the next group of Global Year students in Praia during their 2019-2020 gap year.

Working beside Pastor Emmanuel and his wife Diva, a Brazilian Missionary named Elis, an amazing follower of Christ from Benin named Serge, incredible Global Year Missionaries from the States, Derek and Lauren Nelson, and Michelle Jones, and so many dedicated Cape Verdeans, we are confident that a great work is taking place in this small region of the world off of the west coast of Africa. As you think about it, pray for these workers. Also pray that NLGM will be used by God to sincerely “encourage, equip and empower” all that we work with there to make disciples of Jesus Christ until there is NO PLACE LEFT without the gospel on all 10 islands that make up Cape Verde.

Dominican Republic
Earlier in the year, one of our missionary families (the McFarland Family) went down to the Dominican Republic to work with our partners from last year’s journey (the Santos family) to provide additional training for them and some influential leaders as well as make plans for our future work in this city. They were able to take a local pastor and some local workers into the community to model prayer walking and gospeling. We are very encouraged by the excitement and desire to multiply disciples and churches. While there, they were able to make some plans for future trainings and missionary journeys and with the Lord’s leading and provision, we are trusting that a movement of God through local disciples/churches in Santiago (the city we are working in) is on the horizon!

Ryan McFarland will be leading a team to Santiago this fall (Oct. 11-18, 2019) to partner with more local churches and provide some church leader training.

Honduras
Honduras is a country which has been marked by civil unrest and extreme economic hardships in recent years. But as our team was there during the first week of March, our experience was that it was full of lovely people--people who need to know Jesus is the hope of the world--and we were honored to share that with them. As it was the first time NLGM had a team in that beautiful country, we weren’t sure what to expect—but we were humbled to see God at work there. We experienced two full days at an orphanage and we left a piece of hearts with the children there.  We also invested in training and making disciples in a small community there, as we partnered with students from Global Year. We continue to pray for further open doors in Honduras, that will allow us to go back and make an impact on that country. If you think of it, pray for the people of Honduras, and especially the children in the Jeremiah 29:11 Orphanage, that Jesus would transform them into disciple-makers that will help lead their country to Christ.

One Step At A Time - 2018 Review

12/1/2018

If I am completely honest, what I am getting to do as part of New Life Global Ministries is better than I ever imagined anything like this could be. Yet, I really should not be surprised. As a young, but zealous follower of Christ, I received a vision from God that one day He would let me be an active part of reaching the Nations. And today, HE is allowing me to do just this as one of the leaders of NLGM!

How can this be? Acts 2:17 provides an answer. As the Apostle Peter responded to the those who did not understand what these uneducated men were doing, he quoted the Prophet Joel when he said, “‘In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.” That vision given to a young 19-year-old in the mid-80’s is now being lived out through individuals connected with NLGM, and the dream of seeing The Great Commission fulfilled in my lifetime is becoming a reality!

If you question the validity of this, let me state what God has done, and is doing, in just three short years of our existence as a ministry. We have had the honor of encouraging, equipping and empowering followers of Christ to be disciples who make more multiplying disciples in five different countries, on four different continents, where we now have established partnerships in three different areas, with the potential of reaching 35,000,000 people with the gospel of Jesus Christ just in these regions. Expand the potential of just 1% of these trained, disciple-makers in each of these areas multiplying to other nations and people groups, and you quickly have exponential growth that changes the world. And believe it or not, that is exactly what we are seeing at NLGM – lives are being transformed into faithful ambassadors of Christ who are literally proclaiming His Great Salvation to the people around the earth!

As wonderful as it is to be part of something so much bigger than any of us at NLGM, it is simply quite humbling to know that The Master Plan has always been just this – SIMPLE OBEDIENCE TO THE KING!

Thank you for being part of this over the years. Your prayers, financial support and/or participation in going to others here, there and everywhere is changing the world. I rejoice in all that He has done! But I also know there is still much work to be done in His Name. So, I want to personally invite you to join me (and our NLGM team) in being disciples of Christ who make more disciples of Christ, until there is no place left without the gospel.

Sincerely,
Gary Willett
Executive Director
